Product Designer, Dashboard

Someone uploads a messy sales export and needs to understand it in seconds, on a laptop and on a phone, without a legend or a tutorial.

That is a genuinely hard design problem: charts chosen by a model, a takeaways panel, outlier flags, and a data table, all legible and calm rather than a wall of widgets.

What you would own

  • Own the dashboard, the upload flow and the read from file to understanding.
  • Design the chart system so every type looks like it belongs to one product.
  • Keep the visual system honest: hairlines and space, one indigo, one teal, amber only for an outlier.
  • Sit in on customer calls. The person who watches someone use this should be the person who designs it.

What we are looking for

  • Five or more years designing software people use to make a decision, not to browse.
  • A portfolio with at least one dense, data-heavy screen you are proud of.
  • You build your own prototypes, in code or close to it.
  • You have a view about charts and typography and can defend it.

How hiring runs

A thirty minute call with a founder, then a paid work session on a real problem from our backlog, three to four hours, then conversations with two people you would work alongside. Four steps, usually inside two weeks, and we tell you where you stand at every one.
